Each Kas bedlinen range requires individual attention; please therefore ensure that you refer to the specific care labels on the product. All Kas products come with sewn in care labels, and care instructions on the packaging.
Washing Instructions
We strongly recommend that you wash your bedlinen before first use. Follow these care instructions to enjoy the best results from your Kas bedding. All Kas bedding is made from 100 % pure cotton, and is produced with high thread counts, hence a finer weave, and is soft and luxurious to sleep under.
Always separate your bedlinen into light & dark colours. Do not overload your machine, as this results in less creasing, and wear & tear on the fabric. Try to keep to the same fabric types in a wash, as this will help avoid piling (small balls on the surface).
If your bedlinen has any delicate trims, it is advisable to turn it inside out to avoid any damage during washing. Select a gentle detergent, and one that does not contain bleaching agents or whiteners, as these could potentially cause fading.
Ensure that you refer to the manufacturer’s guidelines for the recommended amount of washing detergent.
Drying Instructions
Once the washing cycle has finished, ensure that you remove the washing promptly to minimise creasing. Line drying is ideal, and will reduce creasing.Take care to avoid bright strong sunlight as this may cause fading.
If using a tumble dryer, follow the guidelines on the labelling on the product. Do not dry your bedlinen for longer than required, as this will help to reduce creasing and make ironing easier.
Ironing instructions
Products made from cotton become softer with age. The amount of creasing you may experience will depend on the thread count and weave type of your bedlinen as well as the way you handle it.
Always use a good steam iron on the recommended heat setting. You may prefer to iron your duvet set, especially on dark colours.
General care
Store your bedlinen in a damp free environment, and if storing on wooden shelving, ensure the shelves are lined to avoid staining from the natural oils from the wood.
Do not expose your linen to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time, as this may result in fading. We hope these care instructions will assist you in enjoying your Kas bedlinen.
